The future of co-operation between the EU and the Eastern Partnership group, regional security and economic issues were the main talking points at a meeting of Visegrad Four (V4: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) and Eastern Partnership chiefs of diplomacy held in Bratislava on Monday, Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak (a Smer-SD nominee) stated at a post-meeting press conference. Lajcak welcomed the fact that the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) came to the summit with specific proposals and suggestions, and voiced hope that the meeting will serve as a springboard for the next round of talks in Brussels.
