Budapest Wagner festival offers Lohengrin

Wagner's Lohengrin, as staged by Laszlo Marton in 2010, will feature in this year's Budapest Wagner Days, this time conducted by Gergely Vajda. He said that he had been preparing for the performance since last year, when he was asked to do the job by the festival's director, Adam Fischer. Singers appearing in the performance include Peter Fried, Ricarda Merbeth, Linda Watson, Michaela Schuster, and Istvan Kovacshazi. Lohengrin will be on stage at the Palace of Arts on June 9 and 16.
