The EU presidency doesn't concern a single government or political party but rather represents the whole of Slovakia and all of its citizens, Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak said after meeting parliamentary party leaders on Friday. The reason for convening the meeting was that the Slovak EU Presidency, scheduled for the second half of 2016, will take place shortly after the next parliamentary elections. A new government is expected to have been formed by then.
